We have sadly made the decision to close the centre from 17th March until after the Easter Holidays.
The College remains committed to playing our part in the wider collective effort to keep our communities, staff and of course our students as safe as possible, through preventing or slowing the spread of infection.
Decisions to reopen will be based on Government and Weymouth College advice, which continues to evolve on a daily basis.
We today have emailed and telephoned all our students about cancellations to classes.
We are in discussions with lecturers to see if we can reschedule some of our courses for the summer. This of course will take time, and we ask you to bear with us as we look at rescheduling or cancelling courses.
We also understand that many of you would prefer a refund, and if this is the case please email us, and we will put this in motion as soon as possible.
This is a very difficult time for us, we get no funding or grants, and the centre runs on your course fees, refreshment sales, and tickets to our events, so many thanks for your understanding, and support for us at this very difficult time.
We will continue to seek advice from medical sources and government updates, and will email all customers and staff during the week beginning 13th April to advise you on our further plans.
Please ensure you check the DCCA website “Events or NEWS page” at https://www.dorsetcentreforthecreativearts.co.uk/ for any updates, or our Facebook page.
