With regard to Coronavirus, the College and DCCA are following guidance from Public Health England (PHE) and other national agencies.
We announced last week that we would be closing the Dorset Centre for the Creative Arts (DCCA), and would be in contact with you in April about future courses, and refunds of course fees already taken.
After the Prime Ministers briefing on Sunday, we will be taking further steps to keep both staff and our students safe during a time when we all have to minimise travelling and the risk of transmitting this virus.
We will be closing all courses from now for the duration of the current crisis.
You will understand that in these unprecedented times refunding monies paid for bookings or courses will take longer than might have been the case in the past.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as DCCA staff, Weymouth College and their Finance team are currently in the process of reviewing cancellations and refunds. We will be in contact with you as soon as we have further information.
For those of you who have left ongoing projects at the centre, e.g. Pottery, Lino prints, book binding, can we assure you they will be put away safely.
In these really difficult times, a HUGE thank you to all our students and staff for your support and patience. We wish you all the very best, keep well, and we hope to see you again very soon.
Our updates will be on our website on the NEWS tab, and our Facebook page.
