June is the time when the many grasses in the hay meadows are in full flower. Study their abundant varieties and their tiny flowers and learn how to tell grasses from sedges. Explore the detailed structure of lichens and the varying textures of bark from different trees. You will be encouraged to use a full range of graphite pencils and will be shown a variety of marks and techniques from clear outlines to sharp hatching and smooth, rich blending.
This will be a relaxed, fun workshop suitable for all skills and you will receive all the support you need to achieve a pencil drawing that is botanically accurate but also visually pleasing.
